Why skateboards?
It is BASIK's belief that having a skateboard only park will be the one truly safe way to provide for the community's skateboarding needs. This belief is widely held by many communities throughout the nation and particularly within many of Kenosha's neighboring communities. Due to budget and site size constraints, the issue of multiple activity usage is of particularly high concern within Kenosha's possible skatepark plans.
It is not BASIK'S intention to discriminate against other action sports, rather it is to protect the integrity of the needs of the families and skateboarders it represents.
